Manage Licensing for Installed Packages
Use licensing to control which users can access your installed packages. You can also control access to installed packages for other business units across your Enterprise.
This information applies to enhanced packages and legacy packages. All installed packages created after August 1, 2019 are enhanced packages, and all packages created before January 2019 are legacy packages.
-
In Marketing Cloud Engagement setup, in the Quick Find box, enter
packages
, and then select Installed Packages. -
In the list of installed packages, select a package to configure licensing for.
-
On the Access tab (or the Licenses tab for legacy packages), in the Business Units area, select a business unit.
If your account only has one business unit, the Business Units area isn’t shown.
Alternatively, to enable access to the installed package for all business units, click Enable All Business Units. This option is available only for server-to-server integrations.
-
In the Users section, select the users to license. Alternatively, you can perform licensing actions in bulk.
- To enable access for all current and future users in the selected business unit, select License all current and future users in {yourBusinessUnit}.
- To enable access for all current and future users across all business units, click License All Users (or License Everyone in legacy packages). This option is only available if you have the Installed Packages | Administer permission and access to all the business units in your enterprise. To gain access, work with your account administrator.
-
To assign licenses to users or to make API requests on behalf of the business unit, turn on Enable Integration for {yourBusinessUnit}.
This option is only available for server-to-server integrations in enhanced packages. You can assign licenses only if the package contains another component in addition to the server-to-server API integration, which isn’t licensable.
